taskbar sorter

Taskbar Sorter sorts the taskswitch icons on the taskbar according to their type, and the effect of sorting is cool.

And no need for translation ;) just run it

and the .tgz files can be opened with winzip.

Has this been translated to English? I'm trying to figure out what rules it follows when auto-arranging icons.

My two favorite lines from the readme are:

  • 1. There are times when the excessive tub increases.
  • 2. Thawing, everything it deletes the file which it is possible.

Automated translations are good fun.

lol, thawing (which means unzipping, extracting) was and is my second favorite aside from idea contest which is actually icon. ;)

I've been trying to figure out the custom sort settings. Heres what I've found so far. The readme says it can sort according to window name and window classes, but I've found it works better here with window classes.

To get a list of classes of all open windows, edit the TSInvoker.ini to read:

[main]
IsUse=1
Option=/check

Then run TSInvoker.exe. This will create a WindowInfo.log file in your TaskbarSorter directory. Alternatively you can use Winspector to get window class names.

Now we have a list of classes, we create our custom sort list. To do this, edit the TSInvoker.ini file to now read:

[main]
IsUse=1
Option=/conf config.ini

The config.ini is where we put our custom sort list. Heres a short example of one that works for me:
COOLPRO2.0
Winamp v1.x
ModPlugPlayerWndClass
MozillaWindowClass
WS_FTP LE
AU3Reveal

Unfortunately some windows are not being sorted to either class or window name. The readme says it can use wildcards, I've tried things like Jasc* to no avail. :(

It seems to sort alphabetically by default, and the leftover windows that were not sorted by the config.ini follow this pattern.

Come to think of it I have read that Spyder, but I can't say that it's been within the last couple years How quickly these things go.
