I saw this theme around somewhere. It's called Chance, right? Lost the link. Do you know where I can get it?
That stack of squares in the top leff corner is the VWM, isn' it? That's so neat!

hey, granddizzy, the visual style is not "chance." it's a personal mod of opus osx, 6pack, and ashen, but i didn't get permission, so i can't release it. you could mod your own, however, and it's really easy.
as for the stack of squares, it's just the icon for "my computer." i stopped using vwm a while ago. but a vwm that looked like that would be cool indeed.

Very clean looking. It all comes together quite well, and it's got enough contrast to be easy on the eyes.
Personally I feel there are too many references to what's going on in winamp... how many do you really need?

lol, i never realized that. i usually look at the winamp in my samurize, but then i like to have the winamp window open, so when i click on it, i can scroll to the next song. but at other times, i like to alt-tab my way to quickly change songs with the keyboard.
i've thought about removing it from the taskbar, but i don't know of any global hotkey that will either give me the ability to quickly go "next" or "prev" or at least make winamp active so that i can use the keyboard to enter those commands.

The only problems I have with this 'top are the colored icons here and there. I'm talking about the weather icons, the my computer icon in the status bar of explorer, and the throbber. Oter than that, great job!

yeah, those have been bothering me too.
1. where's the computer icon located?
2. i'm going to remove the throbber.
3. i want some weather icons that'll look good. simple, and monochrome, but i don't know of any.

hey guys, xp seems to be a little weird. i changed the zone icon in the registry, and it appears as one icon in ie, but it's a different one in explorer. all i did was change it to: shell32.
dll#0018. shouldn't they be the same?

Zone 0 shold be used for most Explorer windows
Zone 1-4 should be used at various times in Internet Explorer
I believe Zone 3 should be the default in Internet Explorer

yeah, i only changed zone 0, but it's not the icon that i selected for some reason. it looks right in ie, but not in explorer. O.o

Have you restarted your computer? That seems to straighten everything out for me when changing zone icons.

yeah i did. xp just seems a little goofy.

hey, i found the problem! apparently, win explorer is getting the zone icon from my aqua shell32 file, but that's weird, since there's only one file named shell32.
dll, which isn't aqua. i don't know why xp is pulling the icon from another file when i specified shell32.dll in the registry.
so then i went back into the registry and added the file path. works perfectly now. silly xp!
also, has anyone here used throboff before? i haven't tried it, but i want to know more about what it does. does it change any other settings?

I've only used the one for removing the Windows Explorer throbber.
As far as I've seen, nothing else has been changed, yet someone said the option to hide the toolbar menus (File, Edit, View etc.) appears after applying the reg files. No such luck with me.

thanks, sketching!

didn't see any other effects either, but it worked well.
hey, would you mind reading this thread?
