how delete 'My MultiPASS' icon on desktop?
I figured here would be the place to ask...
the canon multipass suite driver installs an icon on the desktop and it cannot be deleted by normal means
[MPC190MPSuite440aGb-02WINEN.EXE] is the driver in question
So how can I get rid of the damn icon? Uninstalling the printer driver gets rid of it but then I can't use the printer.
The icon points to some virtual folder (?) which I never use. So if that has to go too it's fine by me.
In registry, at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\ there should be a localizable subkey - if sure delete, log off, and it should be gone.
Or try with Shell object editor, really nice tool:
here.
Edit: duh, forgot the most safe way -
TweakUI lets you toggle display of specific desktop icons on/off...
