Can anybody do this?
Can anybody do
this with explorer windows? I mean, leave them with no toolbars or menus, to navigate like in MacOS 7. I did it in Win98 deleting avery menu entries in browselc.
dll and turning off the rest of toolbars, but trying it in WinXP (PRO SP1), explorer becomes unsuable or makes strange things with window metrics.
Thanks in advance.
(Fixed the link lsdx). Question. I'm not sure how far you got this - you also need to know how to remove the default "File - Edit - etc" menubar, or is this just about min/max buttons ?
The latter I don't know really, but all toolbars are gone here (besides my own).
hmm it looks like toolbar windows. drag a toolbar (example quick launch) to the desktop and whoala.! i have the same looks when i drag it to the desktop.
edit: your link works only when i copy the link to the adress bar and hit enter.
edit2: this happens when i drag the desktop toolbar to the desktop:
screenshot, i think it is the same...

To do that woth regular windows though, would mean,
a) remove all toolbars. Can be done at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\ShellBrowser
We're halfway documenting the whole thing, but this
regfile (2k/XP) does it for me (backup key first etc).
b) create a custom Marlett.ttf with blanks for minimize/max/restore ?!
c) fiddle with windowmetrics to get it as small as possible ?
Or, just use ShellWM.
Yep, sorry. I forgot mention it. It's a folder dragged out from screen border.
Thanks a lot, undefined, REG file worked for me! <me="happy">
