I've got a USB storage device on my system (win 98)

If it's plugged in when the computer boots up, it's given the drive letter of E, and the CD-rom is given D.

However, if I plug it in after boot up, the USB drive ends up as D amd the CD as E.

Is there any way of making a shortcut to either of these drives so that regardless of the current drive letter of the device, it opens the right one?

realy strange that it gets D if plugged in after boot as i would expect windows to give it the first available letter...

no way that i know of, but i do believe that TweakUI offers an option to force certain drives to have certain letters...
