Could anyone tell me how to successfully replace these? I can't get the color format right.

I tried this with WinRAR and was able to extract the BMP and it is 13x13px? 8bpp. I've made another BMP file with the same restrictions, but it doesn't look nearly as nice.

I've also tried doing this to PixVue, but I was not successful in finding its location. I did find a 14x14 BMP file and a 13x13 ICO file, but replacing the BMP seems to have done nothing and I'm not sure how to create a 13x13 ICO file. Replacing the ICO file w/ one that is 16x16 seems to have done nothing.

PixVueFRA.dll, PixVueLOC.dll were the files I found them in.

Exactly what are you trying to do?

If it is to change the icon you have to change the icon group to make it work correctly.

If you are trying to change the size of the icon, you might have to do something else.

If you are trying to change the icon for the context menu but not for anything else you may have to do all this:
extract the icon group
open it with a viewer like irfanview or something like that
extract the single icon you are trying to change then change it
put it back into the icon group with the viewer
finally put the icon group back

It's the icon for the context menu that I'm after. In WinRAR, it is a BMP file in RarExt.dll and I am able to change it, but the icon looks terrible.
