Word Troubles... [Moved]
Someone on another forum told me that someone here would probably know - so here I am. I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this, but there isn't an off-topic board, so this'll have to do.
For some of my A-Level coursework I have to add toolbars and the like to Word. This is very easy in itself, but the school security policy has disabled the "customize" option that you see when you right-click the toolbar, which we need to get to.
It's almost certainly a key stored in the registry somewhere, but I've been Googling for the past hour without any luck. If someone could shed some light on the issue, I'd really appreciate it.
And no the Admin's can't fix it - they've tried. Idiots the lot of them.
Thanks in advance,
~Hornet
Hornet,
Near as I can figure here at work, the following will allow you to customize the toolbars (you might need to change the Office version):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\Toolbars]
"CustomizeDlgTab"=dword:00000001
