start menu skinning ?
I'm looking for a freeware app that will allow me some simple control over the start-menu look & feel for w2k sp4. someone ?
You can look up lots of hacks for it here:

You can always change your shell too. You can get a totally new menu like that. Most of them are natively flexible. I find LiteStep's !popup menu really cool. It's fully skinned, and anything can go just about anywhere (mine is also set up so I can just touch the corner at any time and the menu shows

hehe). Black box, LiteShell, GeoShell, Aston, etc all have cool menus too. I have to say that they are each worth playing arround with if only to give you ideas. I find trying out alternative shells fun though.

That's just me.
Another app you can use to replace the menu without the shell is
SPU (ShortPopUp), and you can make it do all the functions you want, but place them where you like (even omit them).
I used many but I like to have a mac-style dock and one of the shortcuts pointing to the start menu, that's why I only want to change it's appearance a bit (I know Tclock, Reshacker etc.). e.g., bitmaps instead of windows colors, etc.
