Need some help with exeplorer.exe from Win95.....
Hello to everyone,
I wasn't able to find this intel anywhere else on the web and someone pointed to this site....
I want to remove the border of the Start button and to make the tray flat.
This works fine if done with TClock Light but I don't want to run an add backround app.
So, does anyone know how to do it???
(I guess it will be done by modyfying explorer.exe but don't know how...)
Thanks a lot.
It might be possible by hacking explorer.exe (or maybe shell32.exe), but I really don't know how. One of the TClock variants is definitely your best option. Why no external app? Because of the memory used, perhaps? Well, you could recompile from source to generate a BHO, and keep it from loading in all but the first explorer.exe process. That would stop using an external process (uses a mimimum of 1MB), but would still load an external
dll.
Interesting.
Do you know the source code?
Can you tell me please what is changed in explorer.exe?
(I assume, from what I understand, that there are different changes to different windows versions, but confuses me badly.)
Yes it's a memory usage problem and I'm also thinking about new installations and stuff like this...
