I've seen that site long time age. Recently i found some applications with an interesting approach to the Windows UI, especially Snarl.

[dotWidget], which has great features and has a new version and has plenty of widgets and of course is easy on resources.

[Snarl], is what Growl for Mac. You need to see it to enjoy it's visual appeal. Too bad it's not being supported by apps such as Firefox, Gaim and other. I'm wondering about the idea of contacting the developers

Snarl and dotWidget are powered by [Melon] which is a great toolkit that includes a suite of libraries from which you can choose any number depending on your application's requirements.

I really wanted to share this info, because i believe that the users of our forum will definitely find them useful, and why not maybe contribute to the whole project.

Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks.

These look really cool, spyder -- thanks! I think I might just give the melon libraries a shot.

I'm using a mac these days.
And I can assure you Snarl is almost as good as growl. (just needs support to make themes out of html)

Though I'm more interested in psychOS
Its been a while since I've seen a new alt shell or file manager.

This might be obvious, but actually Snarl can replace your tray pop-up balloons info. Just disable them with TweakUI, and Snarl is in charge (of course you can change the icons as well, they're in the icons folder). Oh, and you gotta love that hourly reminder with those funny quotes. :)
